Description

Basic Encampment is for those cadets that have not previously attended an Encampment. Encampment is required for cadets to promote to the officer grades. It is also required for a cadet to attend the Lone Star Emeregency Services Academy, Intermediate Encampment, ATS, or any National Cadet Special Activities. A cadet at basic encampment will learn how to drill as part of a flight, teamwork, Aerospace opportunities, leadership opportunities and other classes. Please see CAPR 52-16 Chapter 9 for all opportunities that encampment offers.

The Basic Cadets will need to submit their application to Chaplain, Lieutenant Colonel Nancy Smalley. Mail to: 416 Victorian Drive, Waxahachie, TX 75165. All forms must be received by 15 December 2016. Late applications will not be accepted. No one arriving without having previously sent a CAPF 31 will be allowed to sign into the activity. DO NOT send forms by any postal or delivery method that requires a signature.

For Cadets and Seniors, the following forms must be included with their application (all forms are available at www.txwgcap.org):

TXWG FORM 31A received without the above information will not be accepted until all missing information is received.

The activity will be held at Headquarter, Texas Wing Civil Air Patrol from, 26 December to 31 December 2016. There will be a $150.00 charge for basic encampment. The charge for staff will be $100.00. The total amount is to be sent in with your CAPF 31. This covers food, drinks, t-shirt, billeting and administrative costs. The fee will be paid via the Event Brite link https://txwgwinterencampment2016.eventbrite.com DO NOT send cash. All fees are non-refundable after 1 December 2016.

Due to the size of the facility, we are limiting the TOTAL number of CAP attendees, including all cadets and senior members to 100 MAXIMUM. If you want to attend...register at this site as soon as possible. NOTE: ALL STAFF SHOWTIME IS 0700 - 0800; BASIC CADETS, NO EARLIER THAN 1300 HRS

If the eventbrite site allowed you to register, that means (at least as a Basic Cadet) you are accepted; you should also receive a receipt from eventbrite. NOTE: Please insure the name of the person you're registering is the correct name; many times, we receive the parents name as the attending cadet..... be cautious when registering!

All questions can be directed to cp@txwgcap.org.
